Narrative Intelligence
eXitZork’s AI Dungeon Master orchestrates narrative flow using a multi-model architecture. Story generation, world-state tracking, NPC dialogue, and encounter design are handled by specialized models coordinated through the Kairos cognitive engine. The DM remembers context across sessions, adapts difficulty in real time, and never breaks character.
World Engine
Every action modifies the world graph. NPCs form opinions. Factions shift allegiance. Doors you opened three sessions ago stay open. The world evolves whether you’re watching or not — powered by a graph-based state machine with event propagation.
Game Mechanics
Real d20-based mechanics under the hood — ability checks, saving throws, advantage/disadvantage, and encounter balancing. The AI rolls dice, applies modifiers, and narrates outcomes with the drama they deserve. Character progression follows a classless system with skill trees.
Adaptive Pacing
Connected to the Kairos engine, eXitZork monitors cognitive load signals and adjusts narrative density, puzzle complexity, and encounter pacing. When you’re locked in, the DM pushes harder. When you’re fatigued, it shifts to exploration and dialogue.
Voice & Text
Play via text commands, voice input, or a hybrid of both. The DM responds with rich narrative text and optional AI-narrated audio. Accessibility modes include simplified language output and configurable response length.

01 — INPUT
Type or speak what you want to do. The parser understands intent, not just keywords — “sneak past the guard” and “try to get by without being seen” trigger the same stealth check with different narrative flavor.
02 — RESOLUTION
Your action hits the game engine: ability checks are rolled, world state is consulted, NPC disposition is evaluated. The AI DM weaves the mechanical outcome into a narrative response that respects the tone of the scene.
03 — EVOLUTION
Every resolution propagates through the world graph. Reputation shifts. New paths unlock. The DM files the event into long-term memory. Next session, the consequences are waiting for you.
